Hi guys, first off this is my first attempt at installing a car starter.
I purchased a ProStart CT-3200 for a very good price and after finding the wiring chart on this website for my 91 Civic (auto) i felt confident enough to go ahead.
The wiring chart on the website states that the ignition wire is BLACK / YELLOW and located at the ignition harness, i hooked up the ProStart modules ignition wire to the one stated on the website, but it wont start. It will just crank over.
I noticed however that the wiring chart also stated the parking lights are a RED / black wire that is located on the fuse panel. Through trial and error i found that the parking light wire on my car was solid yellow.
(Assuming that parking light means the "P" in the guage cluster)
Is the parking light wired incorrectly? Does anyone know where this wire specifically is?

that wire colour for the ignition seems right, but have you connected the correct wire from the r/s to the ignition wire in the vehicle, check to make sure all the power inputs on the starter are connected, also the parking lights on your vehicle has nothing to do with the ''p'' in your instrument cluster, it's the wire that will go live when you turn your parking lights on, i normallly make this connection directly to a pin that comes out from the driver fuse box in this vehicle, it's normally to the left of all the fuses with a couple other pins, verify with a meter, also with such a basic question, i think you should consult some professionals.no offence.

Yes i have correctly installed the right wire from my remote starter to the correct ignition wire.
I am having trouble locating this pin that you connect the parking light wire to, there is nothing to the left of the fuses, and the pins that are available all have power with the parking lights on. Would not having the parking light wire hooked up cause a no start from a R/S?

meter the wire while switching the parking lights on and off, it's obvious if you have it on there will be voltage (isn't it), and not having the parking lights connected won't result in a no start from the r/s.
