New member here,I havent been able to get a definate answer from the best buy installers,So Im hoping you guys can help.

I bought a 98 expedition that had an alarm/remote start installed .It was removed and now Im left with the audiovox as-tcbm module which wont work if I put the steering column cover on and sometimes it just randomly wont work.

Id like to remove it and get a new key cut and programmed so I can have atleast the factory security.Ive dug  out everything under the dash and this is what Im left with(aside from the energizing ring around the ignition.)

I am not following your post. What is it you are trying to do? Maybe explaining it a little more might help. Each time I read the post I get more confused.

Are you trying to remove the system?

What do you mean "and now I am left with the audiovox as-tcbm module..."

Did you remove the system and now the vehicle will not start?

Are you trying to get your remote start working again?

I've sussed it I think, whatever the hell it is fasty is talking about, I think they left the bypass module behind and the chip in that key isn't talking to the PATS 'cause there's a second key there...oh side it I've confused myself now.
