hey guys need some help i bought a scoob. it has a toad alarm in it....not sure what kind all i see is a metal box where the wires come out this has sesitivty written on it.....no model numbers or anything and its a greyish green remote with 4 buttons 2 big 2 small with toad written on it.....now problem is that it only works when ignition is on..eg... you put key to start and indicators flash as alarm powers up and then i have central locking off the remote but turn key off and the alarm is dead....i had a look at the alarm wires for fuses an stuff but cant see any.......can anyone tell me what wire coulor these alarms use for there constant 12v cause it must be on a acc wire somewhere cheers

It's knackered. Your sirens a gonna and there's no power going through the alarm's red power lead. Throw it away. It was an A606 by the sound of things and when you power up the alarm triggers but there's no siren or siren connection.

your correct i forgot to mention that the siren wires have been cut and the siren is missing .......spot on my man....could i get away with putting 12v through the siren wire red???? just so my central locking works cheers howie

sorry picked that up wrong...what i mean is can i put 12v to red alarm wire??? is it only that wire that the alarm gets it power from thanks

Make sure you replace the fuse, also if the vehicle is pre 98/9 there is an actuator in the driver's door, the lock wires should be fused as well 7.5 amps.
