I have recently purchased a Prestige Alarm-Remote Start (Model APS997A) and I wanted to know whether a bypass kit was necessary for the ignition? Will my truck auto start without the key? Any advice would be greatly apprciated, Thanks.

Pull apart the key fab (assuming your key has lock/unlock buttons built-in) and look at the circuit board. If you see what looks like a small coil, you do need a bypass for the Sentry Key. If there is nothing there, you don't need a bypass. Or just pull out the circuit board out of the fab and start the truck. If it dies within a few seconds, you know you need a bypass.
