I have a Clifford 50.7x and as you may know it has a built in shock sensor. I also have a glass break sensor plugged into the unit. I would like to add another shock sensor because towards the front of the truck I get good responses but not so good from the back of the truck. Also, where is the best place to mount the brain since it has a built-in sensor and where is the best location for an add-on sensor? Thanks so much.

I have the same concerns with my viper 5901. I wonder if anybody here can help?

Best position is frankly trial and error, low down would be less sensitive. The brain's position doesn't matter as long as it is tied to something like a cross-member, thick loom or wedged behind instrument panel, glovebox etc. It shouldn't move around. Of course the alternative would be to start all over and mount it, (if you can reach)  under a chair or the centre console, i.e. near the vehicle's centre of gravity.

Ok, but how can you install additional shock sensors to the unit? Does anyone know?

You wire them in parallel to the MUX sensor port via diodes on the green and blue with the bands towards the sensors. The sensors instructions should have this info.

I wasn't able to find this extra sensor port. They did install a tilt sensor, but I believe they installed it as part of the doors. Does anybody have a PDF file install guide for this alarm system? Any diagrams would be greatly appreciated.

theog28 is quite right, it's next to the antenna port.

in my situtation I have the 50.7x which hs the one on-board shock sensor and I used my add-on port for my glassbreak. I bought another shock sensor because I wanted better results from the back area of my truck.

Yes I had to do the same thing because I had to almost hit a hole in the back of my truck for it to go off.  But yeah its on the side where the thicker wires or.  It took me a while to find it. I had to go to the dealer where I got it and ask because I couldn't find it ether.
