Your Blazer has GM's Passlock II anti-theft system, and you definitely need to interface with it in some way to get a remote starter to work.

You might notice when you turn the ignition on, among all the other warning lights, there's one that says SECURITY. That's your Passlock light right there.

Anyway, an Audiovox AS-GM4 or a DEI 555L is a reliable, tried-and-true way of interfacing with it.

If you use the search feature on this forum, you'll see that you can make your own bypass with resistors and relays, if you're comfortable doing that sort of thing.

Also try www.ifar.ca and www.idatalink.com.

sounds good, I am good with electronics, actually, I am a laptop technician, so when i have a few extra minutes i will search around for those instructions, I have plenty of time, as i still have to RMA the alarm due to inoperable flashing lights function, thanks for the advise, I love this site.
