hey evryone new to the site....ok today while searching around on you i seen that people have used the there cigarette lighters as a push start button. I found this kinda neat and new..... I have and 87 mustang gt that i am turning into a show car daily driver. I am tired of seening all these other lame push button starters and would like to do the cigarette lighter thing. You could mount the push button switch at the end of the socket, and use the light to actvate the switch. Just make sure the light doesn't stick in the down position. I imagine there must be lots of other ways.......

how would i go about wiring that up and turning it into the start never down a push start before so i could use a bit of help on this thanks

are you wanting to delete the key entirely?if so whats your gameplan for turning ignition on? if you only want to use cig lighter as a start thats easily done with a relay
