Subject: door actuator relays location?

I have a 96 Subaru Legacy Wagon and Clifford G4 Polaris Alarm. The doors no longer unlock (but do lock). It is an actuator system, and after swapping to a spare actuator realized this must be a relay problem (after looking at the diagrams on the site, there must be two). I can't for the life of me find the relays. The Clifford main unit is deep behind my dash, and was installed by a professional (who has long since gone out of business). Anyone have any insight on standard locations for the relays?

Could be anywhere inside the dash or driver's kick panel. I'm assuming one actuator was used, in any case follow the lock unlock wires, GREEN / WHITE and ORANGE / white from the alarm unit to the relays. This is assuming aftermarket actuators. In the UK it was a 1 wire system which would only requre ONE relay on the lock side.

Yes, they are aftermarket actuators. It is packed so tightly in there, I could not follow the wires. How are they usually mounted?
I am not sure if there is one or two relays, as I can't find them!

If you can control the locks from the driver's door by turning the key, look for a BLUE relay,  its actually a  twin relay with a built in timer that shuts the coils after 1sec.  Otherwise look for two black bosch type relays.

Found them, thanks. So now I need to find out where I can buy these? They are 5 pin Bosch 20/30A.   Radio Shack has 4-pin only and my local auto parts store does not carry them.

Your local auto parts store does carry them, as generic 20/30/40 amp SPDT.

LoneRanger is quite correct as usual, sorry about the cap not being chemical, the other name for that relay is Type 87b or type 87b five pin.

I was just being anal.

On another note, an old theory has been proven, in the predicted electrical model. Google "memristor theory discovered". It is quite an adavncement for electrical theory and design. It's going to have grand implications in the near future. It's kind of like solving the 'Unified Field Theory' model, for electronics. Well not that enlightening, but you get the point.
