 I installed a Viper 5901 on my 2008 Toyota Tundra and when I remote start the truck and remote start it off the headlights stay on if left on auto.     
 I need assistance on over coming this problem.

 You need to pulse the drivers door trigger wire after the RS turns off. Your Viper may have a rearm factory alarm wire, you can use that. Another way to go is to add a relay to interupt the auto light wire at the turn signal switch(which is the way i do it). You want to interupt this wire the entire time the RS is on.

 I tried to pulse the driver door after rs turns off, however it does it immediately after, and the truck doesnt recognize it. What is the other way you speak of sir?

 Go to the switch and find the wire that goes to ground when you turn the auto headlights on, interrupt that wire with a relay whenever the RS is on(using the statis wire).

 using a relay single pole double throw wire it like this, cut the wire you desire to be interrupted and wire like this pin 87a- side from switch pin 30 - other side of cut wire pin 86 - ignition pin 85- status output wire  pin 87 remains unused -------------
