I installed 2 modules: xk07 to start and idatalink DLca2 for the doors. The car remote starts perfectly but the doors don't lock / unlock. My alarm diagram for door lock/ unlock has a wire for 87a, 87 and 30. I hook up the 30 to DLCA2, and it doesnt work. i try thr other wires and still doesnt work. It is my understanding that the DL module takes care of me going to the lock / unlock pins in the driver's kick. What am I doing wrong?

what did you hook 87 to?

None. Usually, alarms have either positive lock/unlock output. This system has all the wires of a relay. I just tried 30 Coz it's says common lock / unlock. What do I do?

Actually, no. It has the wires available, from the on-board relays terminals; #30(COMMON), #87a(N/C), and #87(N/O). tom q] wrote:

You connect the wiring as you would external relays conceptually, without the coils. You should also state ALL of the components invovled(ie. alarm, R/S, etc.), when creating a thread for help. ------------- Ideal - cmon dude, add to topics in a useful manner, not stuff that is obvious.

Definitely would help to know what kind of remote starter you have.
Also, the ADS piece can handle transponder AND door locks. The XK07 is unneccessary.
Also, even though the ADS piece is capable of locking and unlocking the car, it won't arm or disarm the factory alarm. Be sure to follow their instructions to add wires to the car's BCM to arm and disarm the alarm.

Thanks guys. I bought the alarm from ebay. It's an RS700 by Camco systems (2300 series). For the door lock wires alarm side, it says: unlock 87a - normally open - yellow unlock 30 - common - white unlock 87 - normally closed - orange lock 87a - normally open- yellow/black lock 30 - common - WHITE/ black lock 87 - normally open - ORANGE / black 1. Which wire do I use for the ADS? 2. I removed the XK07 and it didn't RS. Does this mean the ADS is not communicating with the OBD2? 3. Will ADS-DLSL-CA2 just lock and unlock? Do I have to find the arm / disarm from the BCM? 4. In my tahoe, my module locks (and arms) / unlock (and disarms) and senses both front doors. Is this true also for the nissan or do I have to hook the door pins too? This is confusing. Other alarms just have one wire each for lock / unlock neg pulse

- 1. #30 are the common outputs and would be used to signal the ADS DLSL-CA2. Most of your descriptions, of the terminals above, are also incorrect, regarding normally open/closed.
- 2. No. I'm not positive, but I don't think the ADS DLSL-CA2 supports by-pass on your vehicle. If it does, then it's improperly integrated or programmed.
- 3. Yes. Yes.
- 4. It will detect the stauts of doors, trunk, and hood, if such components are pinned.
Other alarms don't all have on-board relays for the locks, thus they aren't as flexible. Read the manual, for the ADS DLSL-CA2. It clearly states what it's capable of and how to wire the inputs/outputs. Also, read your R/S-alarm manual more carefully. ------------- Ideal - cmon dude, add to topics in a useful manner, not stuff that is obvious.

ok. After careful reading, it finally worked. The whole thing is about improper programming of the ADS. In now starts without the XK07. One last problem, the 3d sensor causes the alarm to trigger. I hid it temporarily under the chair and set the sensitivity to the lowest. It still triggers. The manual says it has to be taped to either the A-pillar or the windshield. Since mine is not taped yet, is this the reason for the false alarm. Thanks for your patience.

More than likely, the 3rd sensor is not being defeated during R/S operation or you adjusted the sensor in the wrong direction. However, as I'm not familiar with that system, I can't give you known instructions. Maybe someone else with that knowledge can.

sensor sensitivity can be adjusted thru the remote. It looks like an antenna. I will try to secure it with a tape and see from there.
