I'm trying install a Alarm/remote start system in a 2002 Chrysler Concorde. Do I need to install relays and resistors per the wiring diagrams that I have seen if I'm using the XK531??

I only assume you are talking about locks/disarm, etc? You will not even need a bypass IF you have a solid black key. If it's gray, you will need a bypass and in that case the XK531 will do transponder override, locks, door trigger, and factory alarm disarm. Make sure you have 2 valid keys to program that bypass.

Alright I got two valid keys. I know I have to do the remote start wires. I will be using a T-harness to connect those. I'm not sure if I need the relays for the other wires. I'm assuming I'm to install alarm as if I installing it normally.

Also I forgot to mention the alarm/remote start combo I'm trying to install is the Scytek Galaxy 5000RS-2W

The xk531 will do locks so no relays. Just wire door locks from r/s to bypass and follow instructions to install bypass in vehicle.

I installing a XK531 on 2002 Chrysler Concorde. I need some help... There is an Orange Wire on the XK531 that is for Trunk Output. How do I wire this wire?? Do I need a relay for this wire..

  • The wire is for trunk release input, not Trunk Output.
  • It will be connected to the remote module.
  • It depends on the polarity your remote module outputs.
