I have a 99 chevy suburban that I am installing an alarm and remote start in. I understand all of the wiring connections for the alarm and start, my question is the passlock bypass. The bypass I have is an idatalink multi and the alarm is a avital by dei. now i know about the wires that need to be connected to the vehicle but not to the bypass to alarm brain. Any info on this will be greatfully appreciated. I already looked at idatalinks site and i am still a little unsure on connections so i thought it would be best to ask.
Thanks Dean
Your Suburban hasn't much data to share with the Idatalink unit so the only thing it will do is bypass the immobilizer. Door locks, door trigger will have to be hard wired. That said, all that needs to be connected between the 2 units is the gound while running wire, which i think is blue on Avatal. The Idatalink unit does provide a tach wire but i have had issues getting it to work on GM1 installs. So, all that should get connect to the bypass is ground, power(12volts and ignition), blue ground while running, and the data wire from the OBD2 connector. Be sure to program the unit for standard mode.

Mike, Thank you very much for your quick reponse. Im new to using these bypasses so just to be sure I am going to connect bypass wires directly to the wires coming off of the remote box correct. Power to power Ground to ground and Ground while running to same. Thanks again Dean
