can you disable a factory transponder unit. so it does not need to recognise the keychip. i have a mazda mx3 with it but the reason i want to know if this is possible is i am going to get a clifford virtual key transponder type fitted and aND DON'T WANT so many devices. so can you do this yourself or get mazda to do this.

Best bet...Mazda......I don't know of how to disable it yourself..jsut bypass it
