Hey everyone, I did some searching on here and used some of the posts to help me install my 2W9000FM compustar. Alarm works perfect and the remote start works fine, but if I set the alarm off the car will still start. Is there a wire I missed or hooked up wrong? Thanks for any help!

not familiar with the alarm, but did u connect your starter kill relay, and is it on board or external.

if you hooked up a starter kill yellow/black goes to key cylinder and yellow goes out to the starter motor.
By set the alarm off do you mean disarm the alarm?
If that is the case then reverse the wires at the starter kill relay

It is an external relay that is fed out of the unit. Ill check the yellow/black and the yellow tomorrow but im pretty sure it is hooked up as you say. By setting the alarm off I mean the car is armed and I open the door to trigger it. While the alarm is sounding I can still start the car. I have an older model Compustar in another vehicle and the starter kill works, but I can't look at it cause its on the other side of the country! lol

Well to me it sounds as if you do not have the starter kill hooked up at all. You must have not used the starter kill relay. That is the only fact thats in this post. If you did, in fact hook up the starter kill. The starter kill relay is pre-wired to trigger upon arm. This seperates the starter wire. If your starter kill was backwards you would have know the first time you try to start the car with the key. With the doors being unlocked you wouldnt be able to start the car.
