I installed one of these on my Tundra with a Viper 5901 and it was working fine.   I then took it to the dealer for an AC issue and when it was their this box was giving the tech headaches of not wanting to start.   I went their and bypassed it and drove it home. I then put it back to normal and it doesn't work anymore.

I reset it by pressing the button and putting the plug back on. I see the red light come on and then go away. I proceed to start the truck and it does not want to start. The LED on the PKT2 stays lit red and does not go off..

I am stumped as I have checked the connections over and over with a volt meter and it checks out good.

Press and hold button and plug in module. LED comes on.

When LED goes off, release button.

Disconnect module.

Connect the module and turn key to ignition position. WAIT until LED will come ON solid;

Start vehicle. LED turns off. Module is now programmed.

If the LED does not turn off, check all wiring and reset kit.

You may also try the above steps with other keys including gray ones.

I finally programmed the module. I had to disconnect the wire from the viper 5901 that goes to the brown on the module. That wire from the viper also goes to the key sense on the truck. Do I need to diode isolate the 2 of them from each other?   It is the blue wire from the alarm. It is the remote start status output.

This is from the install manual:

BLUE (-) 200mA status output

This wire supplies an output as soon as the module begins the remote start process.
It can be used to activate a bypass module or power the key sense wire in
most vehicles to disarm the factory alarm without unlocking.
Note: Check vehicle information to verify if a bypass module is needed or if the key sense wire is needed.

Does anyone know if using this wire to drive both the bypass module and used for the key sense wire. Do i need to diode isolate it sice it goes to 2 different points on the truck?

I had to unplug this wire form the bypass module to be able to program it. It would keep the LED solid on and never turn off.

You pretty much answered your own question. I would isolate the two wires, although, this did not cause the problem at the dealer.
