Okay, so I found out the hard way after install a RS in my 2000 4runner that it only starts with the key sitting in the ignition. So I got the DEI 555XW Bypass and after hooking it up, I can't seem to get it to learn my key code... so I'm wondering if maybe I didn't make all the proper connections with the 555XW (although I've checked the wiring guide and my connections over and over again and they seem to jive). It would be ideal if someone have a picture of a working setup to compare to or at least a hint of an idea where I went wrong. I feel so close to wrapping up this little project, but I just can't figure this last step out.

Thanks in advance!

The 555X wasn't that popular, so I unforntuately don't think you'll find a lot of pics, if any at all.

If you've gone over the instrustions carefully, and tested all of the connections you've made, maybe we can try to help here.

...yea, I've quickly found out from some quick searches that I jumped the gun grabbing the 555XW, but now that I'm stuck with it, I'd still like to try and get it going... Hopefully this picture shows what I'm looking at:

...I'm basically looking at two molex connectors where I think the correct wires should be and have soldered accordingly. Now the 555xw instructions say the LED on the unit will turn on when I activate the RS, but it does not and so nothing is learned... and so now I am at a loss of what to do. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

...Okay, if nobody has any ideas, can someone at least suggest maybe a different and better/reliable bypass to use in my situation?
