This site is great, I found a ton of good stuff here. Thanks EXPERTS!

I have a Scytek/Galaxy 2000RS-2W and I installed it on a 96 Dodge Van with Automatic Transmission.  I couldn't get the thing to start, so, I researched this site. I found some info on a Manual Transmission system. The problem sounded similar to mine, so, I did a few "cheats" to try this as a Manual System---it works great.  I looked at the model number of the starter, and I was sent the wrong one.  I got the GXY2000RS2WM.

The system I ordered was a  GXY2000RS2W.  They made the mistake in Shipping...

Anyway, is there any known way to pgm this unit to work as a AUTO, instead of MANUAL? Are there any known "cheats" that would still make it functional?  It's kind of pain to box this all up, and send it back!

Thanks for any help or advice, and thanks for contributing to this site!

AL

You could hook that one up on your auto tranny. You would have to put it into reservation mode everytime you got out of the vehicle, which to me, would be more of a pain than it's worth. If they sent the wrong unit...make em send the right one. I'm pretty sure, that all you need to change, is the brain.

mikvot...  I agree that it would be a pain to go to "reservation mode" each time. I think you're right, sending it back would be less painful!

Thanks very much!

i got one of those units installed too. Unfortunatly there is no real away around the reservation mode. If there was a method im sure i would have done it by now :)
