To start with I a viper 791xv and 530t in a 96 blazer and everything worked fine. I got a 2001 Tahoe and decided that i would rather have my R/S and window module in my Tahoe. So i installed everything in it but it wouldn't operate the windows. The windows wouldn't even hardly move at all. So i called my local shop and they told me to lube the tracks and that's all they knew to tell me so after about 2 hours of lubing the tracks that did nothing at all. So i took the window module out and gave up on it. I recently got a viper 5901 installed on my Tahoe and decided that I wanted my window module to work. Since my windows were slow anyway i put in new window motors and regulators. After reading some post on here about these i went and bought 30ft of 12ga speaker wire to go to the window motors and 10ft of 8ga to power the window module. I didn't solder the wires but i made good connections and took my time with it. So my entire reason for posting this is to emphasize the importance of huge wire and good window motors for this system. So don't give up on rolling your windows up. Thank you to everyone who has ever posted anything on the 530T because this site is the only reason i even thought about using my window module again.

Well i think the stock window wires are like 14-18ga and the wires on the window module are like 14-16ga. Surprised at how much bigger i went? Well the 530T uses resistance to know when your windows are all the way up so it can stop sending power to the motors so when extending wire all the way across the vehicle its very important that the wire doesn't add resistance(so go BIG). And also equally important that the module gets the proper amount of power so i ran 8ga to let it take all that it needs you might say. Sounds overboard but with the frustration i went through with wire that was bigger than stock in all ways i wasn't taking any chances. I just listened to my superiors on here and did everything that they said we should do.

8Ga might SOUND big, but it's funny how it make all the window roll up problems go away!   You can even use the default settings on the module most of the time, no need to try setting it to MAX.
