Is the unit self-contained? How long the battery last after the ext power gets cut off?

is there an antenna?

What do you mean self contained?
The ones that I have seen, there is a module, a battery and a coax antenna.

Self contained = does it have it's own battery.  He is wanting to know how long it will run on it's battery if someone were to disconnect the main battery of the vehicle.

The battery is out board and the module has two wires to keep the battery charged. Not sure how long the battery last since I don't install them but I have come across a few when I do other installs. I would have to guess at least a couple of hours.

yeah, im just curious about it bc someone want to purchse the product/service. some of the older members here install lojack as a contract for dealers, hopefully they can chime in.

does these antenna visible to the naked-eye or are they also hidden?

how good is the product, any installer experienced it?
