im doing a 08 galant with a 727 im just using a 556u for immobilizer so i need to tag the factory alarm disarm wire. there is not a RED / green at the etacs module. ive pulled the module down and theres just not one there at all. and it doesnt disarm by using the key in the drivers door. anyone had this issue with the car? i called directechs and they couldnt help the tech was telling me where it is and the wires that were there with the factory disarm wire. i seen all the wires he was naming except the disarm wire. there was a GREEN/ red in the plug but it didnt test for factory alarm disarm. thanks for any help

Yeah...tell us exactly how you know it has a factory alarm? I mean, does the horn start honking? I used to work for a mitsu dealer, and have done hundreds of alarms on these things.. Never seen one with an alarm that wouldn't disarm with the key. Rather than screwing around with trying to catch the wires on the backside of the etacs, I would catch them in the drivers door harness in the kick panel.

it has a factory alarm when you shut the door and lock it if you wait until the factory led goes from solid to flashing then you open the door the horn starts honking. if you take the key and turn it in the drivers door to unlock it the alarm doesnt turn off. ive tried locking then unlocking ive tried unlocking twice everything. but it has that integrated key so if you hit unlock on the key then it will shut off the factory alarm disarm. ive tested the wires by arming the alarm then disarming it with the remote but none of the wires will test like that. like i said the etacs module doesnt even have the wire in it thats listed for factory alarm disarm. ive tested all the wires in the door and the door harness but obviously thats not going to do anything since it wont disarm with the drivers key cylinder. and the key cylinder in the drivers door is the only one theres not any for the trunk or passenger side.

Wow...sounds like they screwed up when they built your car. Have you tried using the keysense wire of the car to disarm the alarm. Not sure if that works on a Mitsu., but it's worth a shot.

Remove the driver's door panel and see if there is a circuit at the key-cylinder. The connector may have come loose from the key-cylinder. Then, you can identify the wire for dis-arm.
