I installed a 600 ESP and I have questions. 1) The red LED blinks 1 per second armed or disarmed is this normal? 2) I think the starter interup activated. No matter what I do per the installation manual the car won't start. It has been in only a couple of weeks and has been working ok until today. Any ideas? Thank you

It is installed in a 1987 Pontiac Firebird.

- If it's blinking once per second, the alarm is armed and the starter interupt is active.
- Put the alarm into valet until you can resolve the issue.
------------- Ideal - cmon dude, add to topics in a useful manner, not stuff that is obvious.
Story - Phzzzt! Hey, what happened?! ... Isn't it obvious?
Moral - Never dismiss the obvious.

Hi I have tried the valet both with remote and button with no results. I will try again today as it was getting late when I was trying it. I tried valet mode and VRS. The alarm is arming and disarming notifing me both with lights and siren. Any ideas why this is happening.

The VRS is active? Do you know how to disarm the VRS. Is there a seperate button for the VRS, the red port on the module.

I have the manual I printed out. I will try tomarrow. No there is not a seperate button unless you are talking the valet button. I don't remember a red port on the module. Where would it be?

The Red VRS port would be next to the Blue or White ports, IF it had a VRS port. The VRS may be done thru the remote on your unit if it's newer.

I tried to disarm the VRS per the owners manual with both the remote and valet switch. The red led still blinks 1 per second armed or disarmed and the car starter still will not engage. I am open to any ideas. When I get a chance I will read out the relay, wires and car starter system.
