I am doing an Viper 160XV install on a 2007 Chevy Tahoe. I have a 1701G directed interface to work with the SUV. I am looking for the location of the CAN bus wire. A photo to go along with the responce would be great. Also need to find out if this interface module is an ok one to work with this Tahoe. Really don't feel like having issues with this once its all installed.

Thanks in adavance,

Steven

sorry for no pic but hope this helps, the wire you are looking for  is at the OBD connector it should be a light green wire, ( read in the manual of the bypass module for the description of the it) it should be at the bottom row pins and yes that interface is correct for that year

Is there a way to test this wire with a DVM (digital volt meter)?

How about location with connector number and pin number?

Thanks,

Steven

GREEN wire at the PK3+ module at the ignition switch. It's next to the BLACK/ WHITE wire in a 5 pin BLACK connector. Depending on the bypass module, you may have to connect the DATA wire at this location and not at the diagnostics plug.
