I have a 91 Nissan Maxima and I am installing an alarm but I can't get the stater kill to work properly. I wired it just as the relay section posts but it starts when armed and does not start when unarmed. Anyone have any ideas to what this could be or a different way to wire a starter kill?

sounds like you're using the normally open contacts of the relay, this would result in your start on armed and no start on disarm, how are you wiring the starter kill.?

Should be using 87a (middle) and 30 (bottom) of relay.
Should not be using 87 (top) of relay.

i tried 87 and 87a and they both work the same

What kind of alarm do you even have? That car has 2 starter wires, and I'm almost positive , on my old 94 Altima I had to kill both starter wires to prevent it from starting. Easy way to test this. Disconnect the starter kill from the BLACK / YELLOW wire. Leave the BLACK / YELLOW wire cut, and try to start the car. If it starts, then you will also have to add a relay to kill the second starter wire.

When stater kill active it starts and when not active car wont start with a switch. Nothing is wrong with the alarm everthing tested.

You have it wired this way. 86 ignition 85 ground while armed from alarm 87a ignition side of cut starter wire 30 car side of cut starter wire -------------

yes just like that and I also tried 86 ignition 85 ground while armed from alarm 87 ignition side of cut starter wire 30 car side of cut starter wiren side of cut starter wire

Have you ever heard of this because I haven't but this what another installer told me You need to have 86 & 30 go to the key side of the cut starter wire, and 87a to the starter side...
