Subject: how to add trunk to alarm

Hi, I have a 2000 Chevy Impala LS
Installed a Ultra Start 1280xr-Pro
I have the alarm working, just have not figured out how to have the trunk tied in to the alarm. I can unlock the trunk with the remote, Great. But I am looking for the wire, wires or method for when the trunk is opened the alarm will go off. I think I read somewhere that I can use the power wire to the light in the trunk but can not find info on that..
If anyone can help that would be great. Kind of a bummer to have an alarm but the trunk is not protected..

Thanks in advance

Trunk Trigger          RED / BLACK          (-)          IN HARNESS IN DRIVERS KICKPANEL

Generally, when it say "in drivers kickpanel" you can trace it from the wires running along the sill(next to the seat).

That wire is for the trunk release???
I was looking for something that will set my alarm off when it is open.

According to Audiovox, that is the trigger wire for the alarm.  It will set the alarm off if the trunk is opened.

You've just learned something, trunk release opens the trunk and trunk TRIGGER tells the alarm it has been opened.
