I installed a remote start/alarm on an 01 regal,i connected the (-)trigger to the bl/wh(all doors) at the bcm.The alarm would go off after 20 minutes like clockwork.I then moved the trigger wire to the courtesy light under the dash and it did the same thing,none of my tech sheets mentioned anything about this problem.I ended up hooking it up through a relay and so far so good.

No luck!He just called and said the alarm is still going off,anyone have any ideas?The alarm is a scytek 4000 2way.

The BCM is probably triggering the security system.
Installing the resistor and capacitor network as shown in the attached diagram should solve your problem.

update on the regal,I cut the door and trunk trigger wires at the bcm and installed diodes with the cat facing the alarm and connected the alarm (-)trigger wire to the cat side of the diodes.after 20 minutes the little lights on the bottom of the rear view mirror came on for a second then went off,the alarm didn't trigger.I am assuming that was the pulse that was triggering the alarm every twenty minutes.I never seen that before.
