I just bought a 2000 chevy pick up, and it has a prexisting alarm system without any remote control. I checked out the brain and its blank no writing on the outside, but i unscrewed the brain only to find (AMIR-MINIHOP 07-08-04),(DPZ-AMH-0aa 07-09-04) on the pc board how can i use this information to find out what brand of alarm i have so i can possibly buy and reprogram a new remote control

Can you post pictures of it?

If there's an antenna mounted to the windshield glass, a picture of that would be great too.

Maybe someone will come along who's familiar with the alarm in your truck, and will recognize the picture.
