Hello!

I know there are alot of posts on Door Lock questions and Alarms and I have gone through all of them - It appears that I have a door lock C system - Ive looked at the diagrams for the wiring and see that I need to use Pink / YELLOW (Lock) and Pink/Green (Unlock) - I am connecting a fai-8100 and it includes 4 different diagrams for wiring.  I assumed I needed the 1st (Common) one - I ran the two wires from the kick to the Up/Down wires of the alarm and I get nothing.... there are a total of six wires on the door section of the alarm - On the diagram Im using It has 2 wires connected to something called "Main Line" But I have no idea what that is....  Do I need to wire 1 wire to +12 and 1 to Ground for some reason?

Thanks!

Scott

Hey Scott, the type C system requires you to cut the lock/unlock wire in half and wire it up according to this diagram: 5 Wire Alternating 12 Volts Positive Door Locks

Jeff,

Am I correct to assume (From the Diagram) that I will NEED access to the relay in the door?

Thanks again!

Scott

You shouldn't have to access any relays in the door. You can cut the door lock wire in half w/out having to go in the door. You should be able to access this wire at the driver side kick panel.

Yeah, after I sent the message - I relized that is was a "dumb" question ...  Guess I was panicing....

I know the two wires I need, and I know where all 6 from the Alarm go now - Going to try it tonight.

Again, You guys are GREAT!  Thanks for the help...

Scott
