hello i ordered some n/o magnetic reed canvas snap sensors. the magnet goes in the head of the snap so it is a closed all the time until you pull the snap off and then it is open i was wondering how i would hook this up to a car alarm (its an older viper not sure the model number) i need something that wont draw alot of current because it is going in my boat and it sits for days at a time
thanks

If they make the same switches in the normally closed configuration, you need those.  There is no way to do it without using a relay, a relay draws (.)160 amps of current.
