Hi, I'm installing a Viper 5701 in a 2008 Kia Sportage 4 cylinder without factory immobilizer. I'm pretty sure I've got all the wiring figured out, but Would really like to see DEI's vehicle specific install instructions for this car before I plug everything in. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Bruce

I've also been reading a lot about using diodes when connecting the wires. Is this necessary in this car? Also seems there are 2 ways of connecting the parking lights to the alarm, using 2 relays & grabbing the 2 green wires for right & left side park lights or using the brown wire as a negative trigger for the vehicle's onboard park light relay. I was wondering which is the preferred method?

Using the (-) trigger is easier and less wires to deal with.
