hooked up remote started alarm and power door locks. its a basic truck. but the remote start will start run for about 20 sec stop then retry with the same result two more times. any ideas what would cause this? im scetchy about the tach wire and was wondering if i need relays on any thing. i used a aga1201. i have connected blue accessory wire. two ignition wires. the starter wire. i grounded the park/netrual wire. connected the brake wire. have parking lights ran through a relay with resistor. any ideas?   the alarm says to connect either oil sensor or tach but no both

It's very possible, if the signal is incorrect.

To where did you connect the tach wire and did you programme it?  Your fault is symptomatic of tach not being recognised.  Don't use oil pressure, it's not sensitive enough.

2004 dodge ram.   installed remote start and in remote start mode i see that the air does not come on only the blower and the fan for the motor does not start either. i installed an aga1201 the unit only has one accessory wire. 14 gauge or 16. if i want to run two accessories from it. would i need to install relays on it.

Use the link above and wire in a relay for the 2nd ACC and you also have a 2nd IGN ( if you haven't already powered that one up )

You should alway use seperate relays, doing this keeps the factory wires from feeding back. Make use you are using the correct gage wire for the relay, some of these wire carry 30 or more amps.

thanks for all the advice but the part i am confused about is where to hook them up. the starter module has relays in it and has one accessory out. i need two accessory outs. do i split the wire and run it to two relays or do i run off a jumper to one relay and leave the first one hooked up as is.

It may have outputs to control external ACC relays. Otherwise, leave it as as and install a relay activated from the existing ACC wire.

Is the accessory wire of your alarm a 200ma or 500ma output?

didn't you post this in car security fourum, velocity gave a diagram that you could use, let me simplify for you, on a single pole double throw relay, (the one you need for this application), the pins on the relay wil be numbered, exclude pin 87a for this application,

pin 30- goes to constant 12 volts

pin 85- goes to the ground while running wire of the remote start or you can ground it if this would be simpler

pin 86- goes to your first accesory wire of the unit, just splice into the wire, leave the unit's accesory output connected to the first accesory wire, you don't need two relays, as you were trying to find out in your original post.

pin 87- goes to your second accesory wire

THis is what you need to do:

87 & 85 - Goes to 1st ACC wire

86 - Ground when running or if the unit has a designated (-) 2nd ACC output wire

30 - goes to 2nd ACC wire

87a - NOT USED
