I have a customer who claims that his 08 Trailblazer will randomly start by itself. FWIW he swears that no one is pushing buttons on any of the remotes when it happens.

The unit we put on it was an Audiovox PRO9056 with a Flashlogic FLDL1 bypass, wired d2d. The unit does not have a cold weather timed start or temp start feature that I know of.

I haven't had a chance to check it out yet other than to try it a few times and see that it seems to be working properly, no strange warning lights or anything.

I'm a bit puzzled, anyone ever run into anything like this before?

thanks

It is possible that someone else has a remote that the system accepts as a valid signal. I have seen it a few times before. I would suggest replacing the main brain, antenna and all remotes with new ones to eliminate this possibility.

That's been my theory so far.

Of course he also SWEARS (quite literally)  that absolutely no one else in the trailer park could possibly have another one...posted_image

sigh...

I'm not all that familiar with the Audiovox. Does it have a negative start input? That is, an input that starts teh car if a ground is aplied to it? Autostart brand does and I have seen them short out  and cause this.

Northstart.....or start it your damn self.
