      i have an older viper alarm and want to put it in my 95 mustang convertible. i installed the alarm but cant get the doors to lock or unlock. im having trouble with the relays. dont really know how to set them up. if anyone can help and let me know if i need one for locking and one for unlocking, or if a can just use one relay for both, and i need help wiring the relay too thanks guys...khody

      if the car has factory keyless entry, then the door locks are negative trigger. if it does not then the door locks are 5-wire(RAG).

      He posted the relay setup that you need.   You have to cut the lock and unlock wire between the switch and the motor.  Notice that they are both drawn in a straight line.  Where they turn and go to the relay is where it is showing the cut.

      If you wire it exactly as the picture, it will still work with the switch and also work with the alarm.

      Do they work with the switches?   Have you tried grounding terminal 86 of the left relay to see if it unlocks the doors?   When you arm and disarm the alarm, can you feel or hear the relays click?

      checked them with a test light while locking or unlocking doors. and my car for sure doesnt have a factory installed alarm. any other ways to wire the relays so that they woould work. thanks
