Can I disconnect the horn output from my factory alarm and make it go to a siren instead?

Can't see why not. Depending on the polarity of the HORN outpur on the alarm I would use a relay to activate the siren, incase the output of the HORN wire is not enough to trigger the siren.

you wouldn't happen to know where the alarm/keyless entry module on a 2002 avalanche is...would ya?
