I have a 94' Integra with a Compustar Pro P1WSH-A (brain model is CM4300). I am trying to install a trunk release with a trunk release kit I bought in eBay.

Here's how I connect the relay:
Alarm's accessary (-) output (Connection 4 wire #2) ----> Pin #85
+12V -----------------------------> Pin #86 and #87
Positive Wire from Solenoid ------> Pin #30

Manual of the alarm is:
https://www.compustar.com/dsupport/manuals/pro_install_manuals/CBM-1_InstallManual_V1.0.pdf

However it doesn't work.

I tried to test if the alarm is outputting a ground using a multimeter and I think it doesn't output any ground when I press and hold the trunk button for 2 seconds.

Anyone know what seems to be the problem? How do I test if the alarm is providing a negative output when I press the trunk key.

Thanks!

Set DMM to 20volt DC setting, place red probe on a constant 12volts, place black probe to suspected aux output wires of alarm and press relevant button remote. Your relay is wired correctly but fuse 86 and 87 to 15amps. Make sure solenoid is properly grounded. N.B. If you've wired the front end correctly, you should hear the relay click.

Found out what was wrong. I have to close the trunk first for it to work!!!

Many hours wasted because of it.

Don't worry, we've all been there, more credit to you for admitting it!
