I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage.  I have an alarm which has a trunk popper which is currently not being used.  My question is What would I use to make my headlights stay on for about 2 minutes, for example its dark out so I push the button for the trunk popper and my headlights come on for 2 minutes then go off?  The trunk popper is only a pulse and not constant.

You can get a off delay timer relay.  Once the pulse comes and goes the relay stays energized for a preset amount of time.  I believe the PAC TR7 will do that.

I found that I could use the DEI 528t, https://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/Manuals/607/607528T.PDF

How would I connect the wires,

Red would be constant 12v+

Black would be Ground (-)

Black w/white stripe would be the wire from the alarm for the trunk popper

How about the yellow (common), orange (NC),  brown (NO)?

You would need to find out how to turn the lights on in your vehicle.

If it is a + switch then connect 12vdc to the common wire and the NO wire goes to the headlight switch wire

If it is a - switch then connected ground to the common wire and the NO wire goes to the headlight switch wire

yellow will go to 12v. brown will go to the headlights. orange is not used. the 528t will only go for a max of 60 seconds though.

According to this site it is: RED / White (-).  So I should ground the Common wire and the NO wire just taps into the RED / White (-) wire?< size=7 face=Futura-CondensedExtraBold>< size=7 face=Futura-CondensedExtraBold>

Any recommendations for something that is inexpensive and lasts a little longer?

I have read that the DEI unit is 90 seconds, even so 60 would most likley be enough.  I could try to push the button on the remote again maybe that would extend the ON time.
