Im looking to hook- up led scanner myself. how hard is it? the previous installer has 3 wires intwined off of the scanner. theres a brown wire and a pink wire and a red wire. where would i hook-up to the brain?  any ideas. that would help alot I have a compustar 2W8000FMR (3000)  and driving a 99 cavalier. thank you again.

The wiring from the Compustar is easy, but the problem is matching it to the scanner without having a wiring diagram for the scanner. What brand scanner is this ? From the Compustar all you need is the ground when armed to trigger a relay for the scanner or if the scanner can operate from a low voltage output, then no relay is necessary.

hey jeff. thank you for the reply. um i have a rapter scanner so it scans 3 diff colors and like 30 diff patterns. i looked and i thought i had the instructions but i dont. wonder if there is a website that has wiring diagrams cause that would make wiring up scanner much easier.
