I am trying to install a central door lock system in a '93 Toyo Tercel and I have run into a problem. The system is a BF-A.A.A. Type R. Whenever I press the unlock button the door actuator make a sound but do not move. The system came with just a diagram and no other directions. There are just two cables that I do not know where they go to. It is a brown and white cable. According to the diagram the go to the "Vehicle Hull". I have no idea what that means. If some can please shed some light, I will greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

According to the diagram, those wires go to the lock and unlock switches.  The other side of those switches are connected to Ground.  That is what they are calling vehicle hull.

The switches need to be Normally Open Momentary switches.

Or of course the neg lock outputs from an alarm but not really needed, they're controlled from the driver's door lock.  Just a small hint, don't connect all 5 wires on the front passenger door, just the blue and green, otherwise the switches in those motors go out of alignment with all sorts of problems. Body hull?  Love the Chinglish.

Thanks for the quick reply. What happens if I do not have a switch? My car did not come with one. The kit just came with 4 actuators and two key fobs. That"s it.

a switch isn't absolutely neccesary in this instance, your driver door lock/unlock lever when it moves will cause the other three doors to move also, so this door effectively becomes the switch, the offboard switch is just for the added convenience.

Read my first post ref not needing a switch if you do want a switch, it's a two pole momentary centre off.  Centre terminal is grounded and the outers are the white and brown.  I don't see a remote receiver in your diagramme but you mentioned 2 fobs.  Are we all missing something here that you haven't mentioned, i.e. it's a remote control keyless entry?

Yes, it is a keyless entry system as well. It came just the 4 actuators, wiring, "Brain" of the system and 2 key fobs to lock and unlock.
