I just installed a Viper 211HV RKE in my 2009 Wrangler. Everything is working great - door lock and progressive unlock, dome light supervision, horn honk and parking light flash - so I know everything is hooked up properly.

My question is about the description of the Yellow Switch Input Wire - it says:

This wire will trigger the system if the ignition is turned on before the unit is disarmed (doors unlocked with the remote). It will also honk the vehicles horn and flash the parking lights (if connected).

If I lock the doors with the remote the parking lights flash and the LED begins to blink.    Now if I unlock the door with the key .. the system is still armed and the LED is still blinking. If I turn the ignition on and start the vehicle ... it starts right up .. no flashing lights or horn honking. The system is still armed while the Jeep is running because the LED is still flashing.

So is the 211HV not working as described in the install guide? Should it be acting as a cheap alarm systems by honking horn and flashing lights if vehicle is started without disarming with the remote?

Thanks ... Dan

Sounds like an ignition input...Have you connected this wire yet...?

Yes I hooked it to switched ignition. It is working. Domelight turns on when ignition is switched to off. Passive door lock and unlock was also being triggered by this wire but I turned those functions off.
