Hi.  Is there anyone that knows how to disarm the original keyless entry with the built in immobilizer on a Jeep Grand Cherokee-96?  We have problems to deactivate the system in some places. We would like to replace it with a new alarm instead.  Is iit possible?

/Math

ok..the Factory alarm disarm wire is purple / YELLOW (-) in the door harness. From what I know of the Factory Alarm arms when you lock the doors. i don't think you can "remove" it. However, if you will be putting in an alarm made by DEI you can use DEI's Jeep Databus Interface Module (JIM) part number 455T. it's a simple two wire connection into the vehicles underdash databus. It allows aftermarketsystems to contol the factory arming/disarming, domelight supervision, door locking, drivers door unlocking/all door unlocking, and other stuff. and I'm not sure on this, but it might also be compatiable with other alarms systems besides those made by DEI...might wanna check that out...but that's the best way I can see about the Alarm problem man....hope I somewhat helped..
