Hello,
So I have a MES power lock kit that I installed.
I have a Viper 5002 that I want to add to it.

There is two wires that I guess control the lock and unlock on the MES kit. Brown is unlock and Purple is lock.

The viper door wire harness looks like this

-BLACK/ White: Dome light supervison input #87
-WHITE/ black: Lock #87a normally closed
-GREEN/ black: Lock #30 common (output)
-Violet/black: lock #87 normally open (input)
-brownblack- unlock #87a normally closed
-Blue/Black: Unlock #30 common (output)
-Violet: Unlock #87 normally open (input)

It says on the MES installation guide that if I want to add a different alarm/keyless entry that the wires MUST have a negative lock and unlock output pules or it will damage my MES system.

So I was told to hook it up like this:

Viper 5002 -> MES System
WHITE/ Black & BROWN / Black - Not use
GREEN/ Black - Purple(Lock)
Blue/Black - Brown (unlock)
Violet & Violet/Black - Ground

I tried to lock it with the remote. It locked then unlocked.

So I tried to lock it from the inside (lock/unlock swtich) and it would lock then unlock then the main relay for the MES system would make a buzzing sound.

Anyone know what is wrong?

the alarm portion is hooked correctly to negative trigger, maybe the fault lies in your mes relay setup, post how the relays are setup in your vehicle and car make, model and year, and we can go from there.

This is what the relay looks like and how it is wired.

do you think my relay is blown or something? ever since I hooked it up to the viper it doesnt work the same. When the relay buzzes does that mean it is bad?

ok here's the deal the 5002 alarm has buit in relays for the door locks, if you eliminate the central locking module you can just use the alarm, wired like this

violet and violet/black which are common at the holder- to constant twelve

BROWN / black and WHITE/ black- to ground

blue/black- to unlock actuator wire

green black to lock actuator wire

the BLACK/ white remains unused except if you're using dome supervision.

Whoa whoa whoa.

So purple and PURPLE / black go to 12v consistant

BROWN / black and BLACK/ white go to ground

Ok I hooked up the purples to ground and didnt use the BROWN / black and WHITE/ black.

Do you think I messed up my power locks hooking it up that way?

no the way you have it connected is to negative trigger, because you're using the off board module but if you eliminate the module you could wire it that way.

Yeah the power lock kit said that the alarm/keyless entry needs a negative lock and unlock output. It says that positive pulses will damage the power lock system.

when I hook it up like you said. and I plug it in. It locks then unlock and keeps doing that nonstop.

There is still a buzzing noise coming from the relay that wasnt there befor.

when you do it my way, you're not connecting the blue/black and the GREEN/ black to the module i hope, these two wires will now be connecting directly to the blue and green wires on the actuators no other wires will be involved here.

Oh wait, im confused. haha

Ok so coming from the power lock actuator is a Purple(Lock) and Brown(unlock).

So from the Viper 5002 door trigger harness is

-BLACK/ White: Dome light supervison input #87
-WHITE/ black: Lock #87a normally closed
-GREEN/ black: Lock #30 common (output)
-Violet/black: lock #87 normally open (input)
-brownblack- unlock #87a normally closed
-Blue/Black: Unlock #30 common (output)
-Violet: Unlock #87 normally open (input)

You want me to hook it up like this?

Viper 5002 -> MES power lock
BLACK/ White - Not use
WHITE/ black - Ground
GREEN/ black - Purple (lock)
Violet/black: 12v consant
BROWN / black- Ground
Blue/Black: Brown (unlock)
Violet: 12v constant

And you want me to hook it straight to the actuator before the relay?
will that unlock the passenger side also? sorry im new to this

yes that's what you are doing, connect the GREEN/ black and blue/black to all actuators incorporated in the system, eliminate the locking modulem do NOT connect it, it will cause problems, just go directly to the actuatores

ok so dont connect the the relay module? Will my poer locks still work from the inside? when i use the lock and unlock switch? How will the power locks get power when not connected to the relay? power threw the Viper module?

now you didn't say anything about a switch, did you, if you wan to work and interior rocker switch then you have to go back to the way you had it originally, which is negative pulse via the mes module,

you'll have to take a meter to verify all the wires a reading as they should, it really is difficult for me to tell you from behind my pc,

should all the wires read 12v? I can go out and test them all now.

follow the manual, it will tell you accordingly, and no all wires should not be reading twelve volts.
