Info of my car: 05 Evolution 8 I finally got the installation manual for the Python 1090 security device. Now, I'm sorting through on what wires I need and wires I don't need. This device has Security/Remote Start/Responder Technology. I don't really need the Remote Start since I don't want to leave my spare key with the car. I was thinking of just use the H1 harness? Thanks in advance for the help ------------- Jimmy

i've never done that particular system, but if the system is dei, i hardly think the h1 harness would suffice for proper operation of the unit. what do you want jus the keyless entry and alarm.

Yes. I only want the keyless and alarm. Nothing else.

i'm not familiar with the system but i am familiar with dei, it's al i do, so do you know by chance which alarm it compares to in say the viper line, examlpe the 791xv etc. this way i would know how to go about helping you, does it come with an off board relay pack with about eight wires or so coming out of the pack.

I think it does but I thought that is for the remote start part since it has some heavy gauge wires.

I talk to their customer care and the guy said this system has been out for 3 years now. So it's pretty old I guess.

that's the wiring for 2005 lancer, it's the same i believe, but test with your dmm before you connect.

I notice that there are two wires for the door trigger. One for the + and one for -. Do I need to connect them both? So far I just connect the green wire to the All Door trigger. I connect the others to what you suggested already.

Now I connect the connector to the brain and the alarm just went off. I found a door trigger wire that when door is open, it shows 0v and when I close the door, it shows 12v. Is that the wire I need for the door trigger?

yes that's the wire, the purple wire is not needed in your case, make sure that the wire is seeing all doors

What if two doors are missing and I unplugged the harness that trigger open door? Will that set the alarm off when the connector to the brain is plugged?

if two doors are missing you have the wrong wire, and no disconnecting the door wire jack won't cause the alarm to trigger.

What's next after I finish connecting the wires you mention? FYI I didn't use the blue wire from H1 for which you said it goes to the trunk trigger.

let's do the power locks, the three pin connector, there is a blue and a green wire in this harness, the lock in your car are negative trigger so these two wires connect directly to the vehicle's factory relays, at the fusebox there are two connectors on the right hand side of the box (this is according to right hand specs lancers, i'm from the caribbean) so it may differ accordingly, your suspect wires are in the bottom plug, the wires are WHITE/ black and RED / yellow. test and connect.

What about the lefthand drive spec like that of the US? Is it in the same location?

According to what you said, on the right side of the fuse box, the connector on the bottom. I saw a black with white stripe but no RED / yellow wire. I look at the connector going into the power lock/unlock button and it shows light green and purple. Is that the two wire we need?

Once I find the right wire, do I have to program the remote for it to work or does it automatically work? Also according to the wire diagram, do I use the motor lock/unlock or power lock/unlock?

Do most alarm system need to have a Starter Kill relay to work properly? I notice that after cutting the Starter wire and follow the Starter Kill relay instruction in here, I cannot start my car. When I try to start, the alarm just went off. One of my friend's 03 Evo has the Viper alarm. I check the wiring and he does have some sort of Starter Kill relay.

Hey I stumbled across this forum while searching for info on installing my viper alarm into my 05 evo 8. I am just looking for locking/unlocking info.
I was wondering if you got your lock/unlock to work and if you did, how did you wire it?

I did check. Now that I haven't drive my car for days, the battery is wearing down due to the alarm light kept flashing. I have a mini battery in my Evo. I think I'm going to put back the OEM battery for now to test the Alarm. What I still don't get it is the remote doesn't seem to work. I tried programming it but I guess without the relay setup, the alarm isn't install correctly and so it won't work properly.

you will still have to connect the yellow wire from the relay pack's ribbon to a true ignition source in order to program the remote. Also have you reconnected the stater wire to veify that the relay is indeed causing this problem?

What's funny is, after I connect the way you mention earlier and when I tried to start the car, it just click. Wouldn't start. Any idea on that?

what clicks, if it's the relay you're referring to then, you definitely have it wired incorrectly,

why didn't you use the relay pack that comes with the unit????? It has the starter kill relay built in. Hook up the reds to 12v, the pink to ign, and green to key side starter and purple to starter side of wire. Just don't have to hook up the red white, orange and pink/white. It would make life a lot easier.
