i am about to do an install on a 2009 Jeep Liberty, what do you guys think is the best of install friendly Data/Bypass kit out there? I normally use kits from bypasskit.com and they seem to work fine. Any suggestions. Thanks

The FL532 w/ d2d is pretty easy ...Looking at the install guide(type 7) ...Only about 5-6 wires have to be w2w...CanH CanL, Trunk, Multiplex Wire, Starter Input...Those have the Take-over procedure that has to be done...Where after you hit un-lock on Factory or Aftermarket Fob you have 45 seconds to open door ...Otherwise car shuts off...

I have been a fan of bypasskits also, but it seems like on newer cars w/ CANbus, idatalink is the best way to do.

We use iDatalink for this vehicle all the time and it's great. 3 wires off the BLADE-AL and program chip and it's done. Very simple and you only have to use 4 wires off the remote start and everything else is done through the canbus wires. About a 1.5 hour installation start to finish.

from idatalink
(DO NOT CONNECT ANY ADDITIONAL WIRES AND
RELAYS OTHER THEN THE ONE SPECIFIED IN
OUR SCHEMATIC TO CONTROL MULTIPLEX
START/ACCESSORY/KEYSENSE. ALSO MAKE
SURE THE PURPLE / BROWN WIRE IS THE ONE
GOING TO THE IGNITION SWITCH
OUR DIAGRAM TO CONTROL MULTIPLEX
CONNECTING TO THE IGNITION SWITCH)

I dont understand their install instructions.....so the wires coming off my RS just go directly to the vehicle wiring and hook up as normal (acc, starter, ign) with the correct resitor values? or do I connect those wires to the unit? I really dont see any other diagrams for the install of the other connectors, is it just the one connector?

do I have to buy a specific remote start to use the idatalink catridge? or can this be used with any RS??

Just use a remote start that has a data output...Code is one example...The  text you put on there is only for the multiplex wire ...Just one  wire at the Ignition cylinder and applies only to that wire...All the dotted gold lines on manual are done simply w/ the Data to Data harness. Solid black lines need Wire to Wire connections

And you dont use the starter wire on this car...Have you looked at vehicle notes yet...Vehicle needs to see 2nd starter...Key-Sense...Acc are all done through resistance...But all that is done w/ the by-pass...I think Ignition is the only normal connection...

If you get the ADS-AL-DL-CH3 this will bypass the Sentry key as well  as interface for the doorlocks and the multiplexed start. Use install guide 976 and on page 13 ( Type 7 ) you will see that you need to hook up 4 wires ( bare minimum ) + the additional trigger wires that are not D2D compatible with your remote starter.
