3. HOLDING DOWN BUTTON TO SET PROGRAMING UNITL IT GETS TO OPTION 2 (BLINKS TWICE).

THIS IS WHERE IM STUCK.....

iTS IS ON A 04 CHEVY IMPALA. CONNECTED TO THE PURPLE DATA WIRE IN THE DIAGNOTIC PLUG, 12VOLT, GROUND, STATUS (-), AND DOOR TRIGGER (BELIEVE ITS FROM VIOLET/WHITE TO GREEN ON CAR).

What firmware did you use...? Or you could do the Passlock relay bypass w/ a resistor...

whatever the most recent one is. (Dont know off the top of my head)

LOl. im having issues with the reisistor thing too. I tried that first, with the 01 impala.  When i did this before when i held the starter, the value would stay on the meter until i released the key out of the starter position. A value flashes very quick then goes away even when i still engaging the starter. The black lead is on the reference wire (black) and the red lead is on the (yellow) wire coming from the ignition side.  (I am on the resistance part of the meter)

No clue. if some one could help with either or both.

Is the battery in your meter low...Try to replace the battery and re-check resistance.

Maybe someone else will have some thoughts...Never really had an issue w/ testing other then using an auto-ranging setting for ohms and would take a sec or two for reading to show...Just took off auto and set it to a specific setting...The test stuff is from tech services

1. START WITH THE IGNITION IN THE OFF POSITION AND PARKING BREAK APPLIED.

2. CUT THE YELLOW WIRE AND CONNECT THE RED TERMINAL OF A MULITMETER TO THE KEY SIDE. SET THE METER TO THE OHM SCALE.

3. CONNECT THE BLACK LEAD TO THE BLACK OR ORANGE / BLACK WIRE AND OBSERVE THE READING.

4. TURN THE IGNITION SWITCH TO THE RUN POSITION, THEN DEPRESS AND HOLD THE BRAKE PEDAL. IF THE RESISTANCE CHANGED THAT MEANS YOUR VEHICLE

HAS AN EARLIER PASSLOCK1 SYSTEM.

5. MOVE THE SHIFTER TO THE REVERSE POSITION, THEN, WHILE CONTINUING TO DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL, TURN THE KEY FORWARD TO THE START POSITION

AND READ THE RESISTANCE ON THE MULTIMETER.. RECORD THE VALUE AND RETURN THE SHIFTER TO THE PARK POSITION.

6. FIND A MATCHING RESISTOR FROM THE PACK INCLUDED WITH THE REMOTE START OR PURCHASE ONE. BE SURE THAT THE VALUE IS WITHIN 5% OF YOUR

MEASUREMENT.

Option 2 is just a reset right...? Is it necessary to reset...? You press lock/unlock to change setting...You want 8 flashes w/ 2 fast flashes...Press lock/unlock til you get 2 fast flashes.

and second will show option with fast flash.

2-To change MODE, push button one time, LED will confirm MODE with slow number of flash.

NOTE: ONLY MODE 8 AND 9 ARE AVAILABLE

3-To change OPTION into selected MODE, press LOCK or UNLOCK with remote of alarm or remote starter. LED will show option with fast flash.

4- To save and exit programming, push and hold button until LED flash one time rapidly, showing end of OPTION programming.

may have figured out the resistor thing. I have to check it when the car is ALREADY running then turn the starter again to get the value. I was holding the starter on the intial start. I didnt think it mattered.

AS for the XK01. have know idea how to save the car type.

The firmware has to be done w/ a loader...No other way...Are you doing the relay bypass or just bypassing it for good...?
