hello, i installed a compustar CM 3000, so far the remote start works, alarm works (mostly) but nothing else, i can not find a manual that gives me detailed info for the 1-way 4 button remote for programming as my 2 way is not working, i need to make the (-) lock/unlock wires to (+) but dont know how to program that my 2-way wont program, i did the whole 5 on off thing and got the 1 way working but reguardless the 2 way wont work (shows no signal, has new duracell battery) my lights wont flash, needs to be programed? (wire is hooked up and at one point did flash) my trunk release button inside the truck sets off the alarm for the time period i hold it down (remote trunk release wire NOT hooked up (yet) ) shock sensor doesnt allways set it off, currently ziptied to steering coloum set to 10 (any better locations?) please help, the brain is hanging by the brake petal and i have to have all these addressed before i can tuck it away, thanks in advance

for install manual look at GENERAL INFO>DOWNLOAD
make/model/year of your vehicle would help.
-I find it more consistent to take the ignition (input) wire and just manually trigger it for remtoe programming.
-light should flash, no programming required. check the parking light wire output on the CM3000.
-what's going on w/ that trunk release?
-awhile back when I started learning about alarm, I did one test about shock sensor mounting location. the test was to tie it to steering column and randomly at chassis or attach loomed wires, the result show steering column wasn't the ideal place. From then on, I stop attaching to steering column. besides, it wasn't even a good idea in in the first place bc my customer can't access to it very well.

1992 Chevy S10 Blazer, no factory keyless entry or antitheft or alarm, just run of the mill older truck with basic options for that year the relay for what im assuming is for the parking lights to flash i can hear clicking in the brain, i will have to check the wire again the alarm goes off when i press the tailgate release button, it is powerd, not a pull cable, think of it as the speaker itsself and nothing hooked to it other then the battery and a button to turn it on, i press down it goes off, i release the button and stops, only when the truck is not running reguarding both the parking light and trunk release button, the parking light that it said on a website was a brown wire in the dash, i found it by taking the switch out and taping straight into the wire about 2 inches from the switch itsself, the gate button has a brown wire, could they be related? i looked at the haynes manual and cant seem to find anything, even more strange, i slowly opened the tail gate and if i held it a certin way the alarm would go off for a split second, i have a feeling that something is not right but cant figure it out, might be more of a truck issue then alarm issue, but i STILL need help with the keyless entry problem, i have to change the settings but dont know how to even get to them or what steps to follow as for the manuals, i have both of them, but one shows me wire colours and what they do, the other does the same plus some programming instructions but no instructions for the 1-way 4 button remote BTW, what do you mean by "-I find it more consistent to take the ignition (input) wire and just manually trigger it for remtoe programming" also whare is the best place to put the shock sensor?

well i checked the wire to the parking light, and found that it was bad, not something i would of noticed by looking at it, it ended up being the little black fuse holder, was not making a connection, replaced it and lights are now working!!!!!!! but........ other problems still there =) HELP!? lol

Use a polarity inverter or use two relays and wire them up like this. my 2-way wont program, i did the whole 5 on off thing and got the 1 way working but reguardless the 2 way wont work (shows no signal, has new duracell battery)[/QUOTE] Make sure you have the 2 way antenna. It will say " 2 way " on the actual antenna. What color is your 2 way remote. furious_cruzer wrote:

Unplug the shock sensor and also, did you hook up the TRUNK TRIGGER ( PURPLE / BLACK ) wire to anything ? furious_cruzer wrote:

well the antenna is the same one that came with the system so are the remotes, the 2way is "2w900fmr (3000)" light gray, the 1way is "1w900fmr" white, if any of that helps trunk trigger is not hooked up to anything, i need a relay same at the door lock relay before i can wire that up, also if i unplug the shock sensor, will i not have one anymore? what do you mean by "Relocate to a larger wire loom." thanks,

i have the proper relays but only 2 and i need a 3rd for the trunk release to work, was wondering the relay above would do the job for the door lock relay for both lock and unlock, it is a gm lock/unlock relay that is already in the truck, but i do have another one, will it work? if so, how ould i hook up?
