okay so heres the deal i bought a jeep yj with an alpine 8040 alarm in it that doesnt work (assuming it is wired wrong) i have everything except for the key fob. is there a way i can just hook up a hidden switch to disarm/arm it also a detailed wiring schematic would be great

You need a key fob. They are hard to find since it was discontinued a long time ago.

How would you know the alarm doesn't work, if you don't have a key fob? Are you psychic?

You can get a basic wiring diagram in the "Download" section of this site. Search for "Alpine"
