The sock sensor is bad if you get nothing. It has a plug, so is can't be plugged in wrong. They are only active when the unit is armed though. The one I have has a LED on it, and that also blinks with the shock.

I decided wired a Proximity sensor parallel with the shock sensor SENSE wires on my alarm, so if anyone got near, they got the warning beeps. IF they intrude, the alarm goes off. Great for convertibles (when I had my tracker). The sensors are like $99+. They are called EFD sensors (Electronic Field Disturbance) Too many of those Harley Halfwits in my area caused too many false alarms.

That, or maybe the entire alarm is bad. Heck, if you open the door and the alarm does not go off, then there's a problem with the unit usually. YOu can HEAR it arm, and disarm with the tones right?

the only time the alarm goes off is when i trip the hood pin switch.I had this problem before and I sent it back and got a new one.It also has remote start and that works fine.
