I will be putting this unit on for a customer in the near future. I was wondering, can you use a universal transponder bypass on this vehicle? I was not sure if the transponder was in the key itself of the key cylinder. Any tips or tricks on this vehicle would help also. Thanks in advance. Brian

DEI's 555H is only supposed to work with CL's from 2001 and up. I used one on a 2000 before and it worked fine. Can't recall ever doing a 1999. The 98 Accord/CL (same wiring) used a different system not compatible with a 555H. The 555H will work with a 99 Accord, but I'm not sure about a 99 CL.

A universal bypass will work. The transponder is in the key.
