Hey guys,

Having an issue with my alarm, i'll start from the beginning (Also keep in mind I did *not* install this alarm, so I may need some step-step instructions depending how complex it is)

1998 Honda Civic SI (EX in the US)
Hornet 564T 2way alarm (remote start NOT hooked up)

I purchased a DEI battery backup siren today, and wanted to add it as an additional siren. Looked at the wiring codes - Looked pretty brainless install.

In the process I dug the alarm brain out from its hidden area between my dash/fender on driver side. I disconnected all of the pin cable connectors. I was just going to hook up the wires from the siren as it seemed logical...

(RED / Red(12v constant on siren and Siren, BLACK/ Black GRND on both), and a purple wire (siren) that is to be connected to brown wire on 12pin connector of alarm - external siren output positive, green wire (siren) unused (used for external siren output negative on some alarms)

Well in the process, I was running out of time so I figured i'd connect the pin connectors back up, hook my battery back up and do it later. So, hooked all the pin connectors back up (double checked - ALL of the ones that were plugged in previously). Reattached battery, unplugged battery/replugged battery from keyfob back in - Went to "arm" it - which SHOULD lock my doors. It did not. So my power locks with the key fob do NOT work now. Also, the lock switch on the door itself (powered) will only LOCK, it will not UNLOCK.

That being said, I beleive the door sensors still work, because if I arm the car while in it with the doors closed - and open the door, the alarm does go off.

Any idea where I should start on this guys? Alarm wiring and installs have never been my forte so to speak, but i'd like to try and resolve this myself.

Also, incase this helps - a PDF of the alarm/codes/wiring/etc

Thanks guys!

Just a quick guess. I'm on my way out the door and don't have time to look at that install guide.

Look on the brain for a white, rectangular, three-pin plug. It has a green wire, then an empty slot, then a blue wire.

(It's possible, depending on if the installer used DEI's 451M relay pack, that the center pin is occupied by a small red wire instead of being empty.)

So anyway, on the brain, that three-pin white plug goes into a corresponding white three-pin hole.

However, there's another three-pin hole that's the EXACT same connector and it fits perfectly......except it's black, and it's for a different purpose.

Poor design, to be honest.

Anyway, that plug is for the doorlocks.....you could easily have plugged it into the wrong port on the alarm brain.
