First let me say thanks for all of the information on this site. Without it, I would not have been able to get this far. I have installed a Valet 712t keyless entry system on a 1995 Nissan 240sx. The car did not come from the factory with power locks. I added factory actuators and am only going to use the keyless entry with no interior switches. The sytem is basically installed, but I have a few questions that I hope someone can answer.

(1) Do all 240sx's have the anti-theft module located over the hood release cable? All of the wire diagrams that I have found instruct to look for the horn wire at that point. Mine is a base model and does not seem to have this module.

(2) The 712T has on board relays. I have hooked everything up except the horn and the progressive unlocking feature. The instruction manual is not clear on how or what the blue (-)200mA second unlock output is connected to.

I attempted to disconnect the passenger side blue/black unlock wire and connected it to the blue second unlock output and this did not work. As of now, both doors lock and unlock w/parking light flash. They both lock when ignition on and unlock when turned off. I really want the progressive unlock feature to work and would appreciate if someone could post a solution.........

Progressive unlock will require another relay. Basically, the onboard unlock relay will drive just the drivers door actuator and the new relay will drive the passengers side. The blue 200ma second unlock wire will operate the new relay.

even through the security module isnt there doesnt mean that the harness isnt try following the closest one near where it would be and see if the harness is taped up to another harness.

just a thought mr mfd1992, a 240sx of that age, if you're having trouble locating the horn wire at the module that isn't there, it would be easily accesible in the steering panel, negative trigger.
