Where should I mount my dual stage prox/radar sensor?  Should it be located somewhere in the middle of the cab or can I install it under the dash with everything else?  Will it make a difference where it is installed?

Proximity Sensor location

It needs to be in the center of the car.  A common place is just under the center console, u might have 2 use double sided tape to attach it level, under a flat section of the console plastic.  The writing should be facing the roof.  Btw, I mean the section of the center console behind the stick shift (sort of between the seats).

Ok sweet.  That should work good considering I built my center console and there is a nice little gap underneath of it to mount the prox sensor.  Accept I have to run more wires :(

Yeah, I like how they recommend that you place the unit in the center but give you little to no wire length

I had an proximity sensor hooked up and it works best is the middle by the e/brake some where, I tried hiding it under the dash but man it doesn't work for crap, it has to be showing some where, where heat activates it like your body, the best way it arming the sensor and move it around the car and see where it works best, I just came up with a topic of how to install the proximity sensor and shock sensor together,

The proximity sensor can be mounted under the center console by the e-brake if there is room. One thing you have to make sure of is that there isn't any metal above the prox. sensor.  The proximity sensor can "sense" through a a variety of materials, but metal isn't one of them.  Wiring for a prox is easy:

+12 volts (fused),  ground when armed (from starter kill, use diode),  warn away, instant trigger.

The above is for a dual-zone proximity sensor.   A single zone proximity sensor can be wired to either one of the inputs. Be sure to diode isolate wires if tapping into other exisiting trigger wires.
